BREVARD COUNTY • CAPE CANAVERAL, FLORIDA – Several members of Brevard County Sheriff’s Office’s Mounted Posse Unit patrolled the streets of Cape Canaveral while also getting a chance to interact with citizens who lined the streets for a chance to meet their Mounted Posse members and their incredible horses.
The ‘Neighborhood Walk and Talk’ was done in partnership between the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office and our great partners at the City of Cape Canaveral.
Throughout the morning, our team got a chance to interact with citizens of all ages while also working to keep our community safe by patrolling the streets and bringing awareness to various crime trends that could target our citizens.
The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Mounted Posse Unit is comprised completely of volunteers who not only donate their time and passion to help keep our community safe, but also their horses, trailers, and trucks to transport the horses to each and every event.

As I always say ”it takes a community to protect a community” and yesterday is a perfect example of just how true that statement really is.
A huge shoutout and thank you to the team at the City of Cape Canaveral who made yesterday’s ‘Neighborhood Walk and Talk’ such a success, and of course a huge thank you to all of the members of our Mounted Posse Unit for all they do to make our agency so successful.
