Port Canaveral reminds citizens to be advised that locking through may take longer

BREVARD COUNTY • PORT CANAVERAL, FLORIDA – Personnel at the Canaveral Lock has advised that the King Tides will last through September 23.

A king tide is an especially high spring tide, especially the perigean spring tides which occur three or four times a year.

Port Canaveral reminds citizens to be advised that locking through may take longer, and special attentiveness to adjusting your lines is vital during high tide so as not to get hung up.

Be smart, be alert, and be safe.
