Cocoa Beach Man, 20, Arrested for Vehicle Burglary on Cove View Ct.

Police arrested a Jacob Tribbitt from Cocoa Beach on Wednesday for burglary and attempted burglary after captured on surveillance entering an unlocked vehicle, and trying to enter another vehicle in the south end of Cocoa Beach on Cove View Ct.

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA BEACH, FLORIDA – Police arrested a Cocoa Beach man on Wednesday for burglary and attempted burglary after captured on surveillance entering an unlocked vehicle, and trying to enter another vehicle in the south end of Cocoa Beach on Cove View Ct.

Authorities identified the man as 20-year-old Jacob Tribbitt from Cocoa Beach.

The investigation revealed that Cocoa Beach Police responded to Cove View Ct. and were informed by the victims that the incident was captured on their surveillance equipment.

Later in the day, Detective Corporal Ron Betts and Lieutenant Joe Versaggi positively identified Tribbitt in the footage.

The information was relayed to the Patrol Division and the Cocoa Beach Police took Tribbitt into custody without incident.

Tribbitt has been transported to the Brevard County Jail.

“Please remember to always lock vehicle doors, close windows, remove valuables / keys, and hide items from plain view. Don’t create crimes of opportunity,” said a Cocoa Beach Police spokesperson.
