CULLMAN, ALABAMA – The Eastern Florida State College women’s golf team won the Wallace State Fall Invitational Tuesday morning in Cullman, Alabama.

The Titans were named the champions after the final round was canceled Tuesday morning with the Titans leading host Wallace State by one stroke.

“It’s a good lesson for all that every shot is vital and you cannot predict what happens day to day,” Eastern Florida State College women’s golf coach Jamie Howell said.

Sophomore Delia Timpy placed second and teammate Kira Shellman was third overall while Jasmine Yang tied for fifth and Gabrielle Fernandez was tied for seventh.

The win at Cross Creek Golf Course marked the second time this month that an Eastern Florida State College golf team won a tournament as the men’s team won earlier this month at Cross Creek.

The women’s golf team will be back in action October 11-12 at the Webber Warrior Fall Invitational in Sebring.
