Marqwone Lemon Indicted for First-Degree Murder After Killing Man During Home Robbery in Titusville

Lemon killed Curtis Murray Jr. in Titusville on May 10

The Brevard County Grand Jury indicted 24-year-old Marqwone Lemon for First Degree Felony Murder with a Firearm in the death of Curtis Murray Jr.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Brevard County Grand Jury indicted 24-year-old Marqwone Lemon for First Degree Felony Murder with a Firearm in the death of Curtis Murray Jr. earlier this year.

In addition to his murder indictment, Lemon was also indicted for Robbery with a Firearm Inflicting Death, Aggravated Assault with a Firearm, False Imprisonment, and Possession of a Firearm by Convicted Felon.

Court documents say on May 10, 2021, at approximately 6:30 pm, Titusville Police responded to a 911 call of a deadly shooting at 555 Rockpit Road.

When police arrived at the crime scene, they found 34-year-old Curtis Murray Jr. shot once during a robbery at his home.

Murray later died from his injuries.

Investigators utilized security video which later helped identify both Lemon and a vehicle used during the offense.

After an arrest warrant was issued for Lemon, he was eventually captured in Orange County on June 9, 2021, where he was held on No Bond.

Lemon is currently in the Volusia County Jail on unrelated charges and will be returned to Brevard County upon disposition of those charges.

He will be held on No Bond in the Brevard County case.
