BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Space Coast Police K9 Competition will be held on October 17 at 4 p.m. at the USSSA Space Coast Complex, located at 5800 Stadium Pkwy in Melbourne.

Police, military, and professional working K9 teams compete on an obstacle course designed to showcase their incredible abilities and unique bonds between handler and K9.

The obstacles simulate real-world challenges these teams could face daily in the course of the duties.

The men and women of the Cocoa Police Department are proud to host the only police K9 Competition on the Space Coast.

The 2021 Space Coast Police K9 Competition is sponsored by the Brevard Kennel Club, Bansbach Easylift of North America, Coconuts on the Beach, Downtown Debauchery of Melbourne, Florida Power and Light, Diamondback Firearms, Lawmen and Shooters.

The event is a fundraiser benefiting the Space Coast Police K-9 Foundation Inc., a registered non-profit dedicated to supporting police K-9 programs for law enforcement agencies throughout Brevard County.
