WATCH: Space Coast Daily TV, Friday Night Locker Room Commemorate 20th Anniversary of 9/11 With Special Series

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Friday Night Locker Room’s Orville Susong and Steve Wilson will be at the Avenue in Viera at 10 a.m., and later on the afternoon of September 11, will be at the Brevard Veterans Memorial Center in Merritt Island for the 20th Anniversary Tribute to Sacrifice 9/11 Commemoration.

The tribute ceremony on Merritt Island begins at 4 p.m. and can be seen LIVE on Space Coast Daily TV.

To commemorate the 20th anniversary of 9/11, the Friday Night Locker Room and Space Coast Daily released a series of one-on-one interviews last week with persons that were directly impacted by the attacks.

Steve Wilson interviewed Wendy Lanski and Mike Fineo, both of whom were in the World Trade Center North Tower; Joe Dittmar and Kathy Comerford, both in the World Trade Center South Tower; and retired U.S. Navy Captain William Toti, who was working at the Pentagon.

Their stories are very compelling, as they describe what they saw and how they felt on that fateful day.

It was one of America’s darkest times, yet it was also one of its brightest as 9/11 saw ordinary people do extraordinary things. These experiences, and much more, are described in detail by those interviewed.

During the week, we have heard from the following individuals:

■ Monday, September 6: Joe Dittmar who was on the 105th floor of the World Trade Center South Tower on 9/11
■ Tuesday, September 7: Wendy Lanski was on the 29th floor of the World Trade Center North Tower o 9/11.
■ Wednesday, September 8: Retired U.S. Navy Captain William Toti was at the Pentagon, approximately 100 yards from the impact area on 9/11.
■ Thursday, September 9: Kathy Comerford was on the 70th floor of the World Trade Center South Tower during 9/11.
■ Friday, September 10: Mike Fineo was on the 25th floor of the World Trade Center North Tower on 9/11.
■ Saturday, September 11, the Friday Night Locker Room’s Orville Susong and Steve Wilson will be at the Avenue in Viera at 10 a.m. to honor 9/11 victims. Later on the afternoon of September 11, Orville Susong and Steve Wilson will be at the Brevard Veterans Memorial Center in Merritt Island for the 20th Anniversary Tribute to Sacrifice 9/11 Commemoration.
