BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Brevard County Fire Rescue had to evacuate a worker off of a roof Thursday morning.

Officials say it happened at a single story residential home off Ramblebrook Street in Valkaria.

The man suffered a leg injury and had to be lowered via a stokes litter and simple rigging.

An officials says “many times the best way to minimize risks and save time in a technical rescue is to keep it simple.”
