Brevard County Firefighters Extinguish Residential Fire in Merritt Island on Sunday

Fire was first reported at 3:42 p.m.
BREVARD COUNTY • MERRITT ISLAND, FLORIDA – Brevard County Fire Rescue responded to the scene of a fire on a single story residence Sunday afternoon on the 300 block of Needle Blvd. in Merritt Island.
Officials say the residence suffered heavy damage.
The residence had one occupant at the time of the fire, but made it out okay.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
