Canaveral Lock to Have Series of Four Hour Closures From Tuesday, October 19 to Thursday, October 21

BREVARD COUNTY • PORT CANAVERAL, FLORIDA – The Canaveral Lock will have a series of 4-hour closures to support maintenance from Tuesday, October 19 through Thursday, October 21. Closures will be from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. and from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Closures will be based on progress and safety needs. The Canaveral Lock is operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

The Canaveral Lock is Florida’s largest and busiest navigational lock. Located between the Port of Canaveral and the Banana River allowing access to the Intercoastal Waterway.
