SEBRING, FLORIDA – The Eastern Florida State College women’s golf team is in fifth place after two rounds of the Nancy Nichols Fall Invitational at the Sun ‘N Lakes Golf Club in Sebring.

The Titans shot rounds of 323 and 321 heading into the final round on Tuesday morning.

Sophomore Delia Timpy is tied for 10th overall after shooting rounds of 76 and 77 while teammates Kira Shellman and Gabrielle Fernandez are tied for 21st overall. Savannah Hawthorne is tied for 25th and Jasmine Yang is 35th overall in the tournament.

“Good steady play by Delia, Gabrielle, and Kira. This tournament has a good field and it is a good experience for the team playing alongside four-year colleges with an upperclassman,” Eastern Florida State College women’s golf coach Jamie Howell said. “We need to do a better job with the basics and reduce unforced errors.”

Keiser University shot 11-under as a team and is leading the tournament heading into the final round.
