Economic Development Commission of Florida’s Space Coast Announces FY 2021/2022 Slate of Officers

NEW EDC OFFICERS represent a wide array of Space Coast industries

Officers guide the EDC towards established strategic goals as it works on behalf of the community to create opportunities for the county, local businesses and citizens.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Economic Development Commission of Florida’s Space Coast (EDC) announced its slate of officers for its Fiscal Year 2021/2022 as follows:

■ Chair, Mr. Bart Gaetjens, Area External Affairs Manager, Florida Power & Light Company

■ Chair-Elect, Mr. Kirk Hall, CEO/CFO, Sentry View Systems

■ Treasurer, Mr. Travis Proctor, CEO, Artemis, Inc.

■ Secretary, Ms. Linda Stout, Market President – East Central Florida, Truist

Immediate Past Chair, Ms. Julie Song, President, FL Business & Manufacturing Solutions, Inc.

“I am optimistic that 2022 will be a record-breaking year and I am thrilled to be working with a fantastic slate of officers and EDC staff members,” said Gaetjens.

“This next year the EDC will take the lead on having Brevard County being recognized as a community of choice. Our emphasis will be to continue to be to make Brevard County an even better place to work and live.”

This group of professionals who provide valuable expertise in their fields, will enhance the EDC’s economic development efforts and represent a wide array of Space Coast industries.

“This slate of officers will play a pivotal role, not only for the EDC and its program of work but for the Space Coast community as a whole,” said EDC President and CEO Lynda L. Weatherman.

“I am confident that, along with EDC staff, we have the right people in place to help ensure a prosperous future for Brevard County.”

The Economic Development Commission of Florida’s Space Coast is dedicated to attracting new business and investment and expanding existing industry throughout the Space Coast, influencing change on government laws and regulations affecting economic development, promoting the Space Coast to encourage new investment, supporting efforts of Space Coast military installations, and relaying new programs and procedures to assist manufacturing and high-tech companies.
