Florida Tech Panthers Golf Team Place 17th at Copperhead Championship in Palm Harbor

Panthers concluded the week with a score of +79

PALM HARBOR, FLORIDA – Florida Tech Panthers golf team placed 17th at the Copperhead Championship this week.
The tournament took place at Innisbrook Resort’s par-71, 7,209-yard Copperhead Course.
The field included 11 teams ranked in the latest Bushnell/Golfweek Division II Coaches Poll, including No. 1 Arkansas Tech, No. 2 Barry, No. 3 Lynn, No. 4 West Florida, No. 5 Lincoln Memorial, No. 6 Lee, No. 7 Georgia Southwestern, No. 12 Saint Leo, No. 14 Columbus State, No. 15 Florida Southern and No. 21 Nova Southeastern. Additionally, six other teams are receiving votes in the ranking including Florida Tech.
Lander won the tournament with a team score of +16 (868). Barry, Lincoln Memorial and Saint Leo finished in a three-way tie for second place at +22 (874).
Thw Crimson & Gray concluded the week with a score of +79 (931).
Alex Anderson and Yannick Koehnen led the Panthers with seven birdies apiece during the tournament, while Derek Sanderson had the lone eagle for Florida Tech.
The Panthers will be back in action on Nov. 1-2 at the McDonough Cup at Rio Pinar Golf Club in Orlando, Florida.
