BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA –  Recently, the Heritage High School swim team was performing their usual warm-up routine in preparation for a meet. As coaches and volunteers were setting up for the event, the lifeguard blew her whistle, alerting her that something was wrong.

Cheyenne Davis and Jen Fararoni were spotted working together to hold one of their teammates above the water.

“Cheyenne and Jen remained calm and collected while helping and following instructions,” said Heritage swim coach Caroline Luna. “They were perfect examples of what swimmer, teammate, and Heritage Panther should be.”

The swimmer that needed emergency services were attended to by local EMTs and then treated at a hospital in Orlando.

He was able to return home and is doing well thanks to the quick thinking of all those involved that day.
