BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office is seeking suspect Billy Gene Massingill in the latest edition of “Fishing for Fugitives,” as Sheriff Wayne Ivey comes to you from Holly Park in Melbourne.

In this episode, Sheriff Ivey says Massingill is wanted for Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Plea Reference to Possession of Fentanyl, Resisting an Officer, Obstruction without Violence.

Sheriff Ivey says Massingill is known to be in the “waters of the Melbourne area” and was last “hooked” on April 16, 2021.

Massingill has no bond.

“If you’re the ‘Catch of the Day,’ you know what to do, turn yourself in and do the right thing – don’t make our Fugitive Unit come to get you. Because if you don’t turn yourself in, I promise you, they aren’t far from your house,” said Sheriff Ivey.

“Let’s make the Space Coast a safer place to live by assisting the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office in the apprehension of wanted fugitives, or in this case, the chance to “Hook ’em and Book ’em.”
