OBITUARY: Michael Lenzo, 79, of Melbourne, Passed Away Oct. 3

after 38 years Michael retired from Northrop Grumman as Director of Field Operations

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Michael Lenzo of Melbourne went to be with the Lord on October 3, 2021. He was born in Brooklyn, NY on September 13, 1942.

He graduated from the College of Aeronautics and Adelphi University pursuing a career in Aeronautics with Grumman in Bethpage, NY after 38 years he retired from Northrop Grumman as Director of Field Operations.

Michael is survived by his wife /best friend, Irene Lenzo; son, Michael Lenzo (Jennifer); daughter, Kimberly Ragone; grandchildren, Andrew Ragone, Michael A. Lenzo, Nicholas Lenzo, Julia Lenzo and Gianna Lenzo; sister, Rose Ann Fazio; nephew, Brian Simonetti; step children, Lisa Niro, Amy Heim, Michael Heim (Sharye), Thomas Heim and 11 step grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Rose Lenzo; beloved granddaughter, Rachel Ragone; wife, Laura; sister, Patricia Lombardo; brother in law, Stephen Fazio and nephew, Frank Simonetti.

Michael was kind, generous, and outgoing. He had strong leadership qualities. He will be remembered by family and friends for his love of people and his passion for tennis, sports, and cars. He will be greatly missed.

Services and a Celebration of Life will be held privately at a later date.
