One Person Dead, Two Critically Injured After Head-On Collision on SR-407 in Brevard County

A Miami man has died on Saturday and two women were critically injured after a head-on collision happened along SR-407 in Brevard County early Saturday morning.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – A Miami man has died on Saturday and two women were critically injured after a head-on collision happened along SR-407 near SR-528 in Brevard County early Saturday morning.

Investigators say the vehicle crash happened around 3:30 a.m. when the driver, identified as a 36-year-old man from Miami, was traveling southbound on SR-407 when he drove into the northbound lanes and struck a vehicle head-on, driven by a 20-year-old woman from Orlando.

The man from Miami was pronounced dead at the scene while his passenger inside his vehicle, identified as a 37-year-old woman from North Port, was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

The Orlando woman driving the other vehicle was also critically injured and taken to a nearby hospital via helicopter.

The crash still remains under investigation by Florida Highway Patrol.
