Pedestrian Killed Wednesday Night in Malabar Identified as 25-Year-Old Cocoa Man

Florida Highway Patrol responded to a fatal crash Wednesday night involving a pedestrian and two vehicles on Malabar Road and Glatter Road.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Florida Highway Patrol responded to a fatal crash Wednesday night involving a pedestrian and two vehicles on Malabar Road and Glatter Road.

The pedestrian killed has been identified as a 25-year-old man from Cocoa.

The crash happened around 7:35 p.m. when two vehicles were traveling westbound on Malabar Road. Witnesses describe the pedestrian walking eastbound in the westbound lanes on Malabar Road when the first vehicle struck him, followed by a second vehicle after the first strike.

The man later died at the hospital, according to FHP.

The first vehicle was driven by a 18-year-old man from Palm Bay, while the second vehicle was driven by a 44-year-old woman from Palm Bay.

FHP is still investigating the crash.
