John's creativity lives on in his art
BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – John Ellis Ancarrow III, age 51, passed away unexpectedly on September 8, 2021, at his home in Melbourne, FL. He was born on December 8th, 1969 in Newport News, Virginia to John (Jay) E. Ancarrow, Jr. and Kaaren Gearhart Ancarrow of Yorktown.
He spent his early childhood in York County, Virginia, and later moved with his family to Elm Grove, WI.
After graduating high school, he attended the University of Minnesota, finally settling in Melbourne where he started a family of his own and built a successful tattoo business.
In addition to his parents, John is survived by his wife Asta, son Drew, sister Heather Ancarrow (Adam), and niece Ella of East Troy, WI, his aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of friends.
With a contagious laugh, and an open and accepting heart, John had a talent for making friends wherever he went. He loved to spend time with his friends, skateboarding, surfing, and listening to music; especially the Grateful Dead. His true passion, however, was his art. John was an amazingly gifted artist and Illustrator from a young age.
From the stock cars he sketched at the kitchen table as a young boy, to the 1000s of living canvases he inked over his career as a tattoo artist, John’s creativity lives on in his art. With a loving soul and a kind-heart, he will be dearly missed.
