BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – Cocoa Police Investigative Analyst Dalaity Quiñones is a Cuban immigrant who came to the U.S. with her family when she was just eight years old and is being highlighted during Hispanic Heritage Month.

She remembers what it was like leaving her homeland to come to a new and unfamiliar place—plenty of fear mixed with excitement about a new way of life.

As the investigative analyst for the Cocoa Police Department, she has a vital role in determining where crimes are happening, how and why they happen, and, most importantly, making recommendations that will help bring positive changes to the quality of life in our community.

She is both proud of her Hispanic heritage and a role model to encourage others to overcome whatever challenges life may bring.
