The 2021 Space Coast Home Builders and Contractors Association’s Parade of Homes – Beautiful Homes Tour, which wraps up its run on Oct. 10, has provided plenty of food for thought for home buyers around the county.

The highly successful event is celebrating its 53rd anniversary with all the bells and whistles found in 20 home models by 12 of Brevard’s top builders.

“For more than half a century, the HBCA has been showcasing Brevard’s best builders and craftsmen,” said Christina Slate, president of the Space Coast HBCA.

Designed to highlight Brevard’s outstanding new homes in every price range, the Parade served as a cornucopia of possibilities in design, style and comfort.

Scott Cronenberg, for example, was eager to see what Christopher Burton Luxury Homes was up to with its entry this year.

Cronenberg, a retail mortgage branch manager with US Bank, has strong connections with the Parade, since US Bank is this year’s Signature Sponsor.

“US Bank is a primary construction and renovation lender in Brevard and we do a lot of lending countywide,” said Cronenberg.

Cronenberg, as well as the many other visitors, were not disappointed with Christopher Burton’s 4,850-square-foot entry, The Andros at Adelaide in Viera.

Burton, along with Elan Builders, Viera Builders, AR Homes by Arthur Rutenberg, Joyal Homes and Rosewood Homes, exhibited outstanding residences at Viera, this year chosen as Showcase Community for the Parade.

For 2021, the Viera Company stressed its three rapidly expanding regional commercial hubs in an area that is listed among the top 20 master-planned communities in the country and is home to some of the best dining, shopping, medical/professional services and lifestyle opportunities in Central Florida.

At Pineda Interchange District, the new Costco is expected to make its debut before year’s end. Luna, the six-story residential over retail project, and the multi-family Pearl will make Viera Town Center the center of it all.

Entertainment, experiential dining and recreational options are on the horizon at the northern extension of Viera Town Center Park.

While Viera is Showcase Community, other sections of the county were also in the spotlight. Mims’ The Greens at Indian River Preserve golf course community, for example, is home to D.R. Horton’s Cali, priced at an affordable $301,330, yet replete with features such as open concept floorplan, integral covered lanai, flex room and sink island kitchen.

THE HBCA’S PARADE OF HOMES – BEAUTIFUL HOMES TOUR features 20 entries from 12 different builders, offering consumers a close look at a variety of models and communities in a wide range of price points and at locations that span from Mims to Micco. The Parade opens Oct. 1 and runs through the 10th. Above is the Catalina, a Burton entry in Adelaide, priced at $1.69 million. (HBCA images)

The builder revealed additional versions of the Cali at Cypress Bay in the upcoming Emerald Lakes in southern Palm Bay, at the Preserve at Stonebriar, also in Palm Bay, and at Adamson Creek in Cocoa.

Builders addressed trends such as multi-generational suites with models such as DiPrima’s Pacifica, located in the thriving Eber Rd. area of Melbourne.

Four virtual entries encompassed everything from Halco Inc.’s total kitchen, bath and family room remodel of a home at The Sanctuary to the ultra-luxe – and beachfront – Ocean Pearl by Joyal Homes. Apis Cor’s virtual entry of its Impreza model represents the first 3D printed home to be built in the Space Coast.

“Despite the challenges we are facing from the pandemic, the Space Coast has continued to build and sell a record number of homes,” added Slate.
