61-Year-Old Indialantic Woman Dies in Hit-and-Run Crash on I-95 near Melbourne

State troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash involving a pedestrian that happened Friday morning on I-95 near mile marker 191 in Melbourne.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – State troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash involving a pedestrian that happened Friday morning on I-95 near mile marker 191 in Melbourne.

The pedestrian has been identified as a 61-year-old woman from Indialantic.

FHP says the vehicle was traveling northbound on I-95 when the driver struck the pedestrian, who was walking or standing in the northbound lanes.

Investigators believe the crash happened between 6-6:30 a.m., according to FHP.
