BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA BEACH, FLORIDA – New Cocoa Beach Police Officers, Christie Bynum and Bobby Strange were sworn in by Chief Rosenfeld and will now go through two weeks of orientation and several months of field training.

The Cocoa Beach Police Department has more than 90 members consisting of 39 sworn officers, telecommunicators, beach rangers, parking enforcement specialists, and civilian personnel.

They serve approximately 11,000 full-time residents and over two million visitors annually.

Cocoa Beach Police Department embraces the philosophy of problem-oriented policing through community partnerships, order maintenance, and crime prevention.

They pride themselves in professional service and are committed to providing a safe city to live, work, visit, and enjoy.
