Daniel Hatcher in Brevard Jail on $175,000 Bond, Charged With 5 Counts of Possession of Child Pornography

Hatcher is the Recreation Supervisor with the City of West Melbourne

An investigation conducted by the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office was culminated on Friday with the arrest of 62-year-old Daniel Hatcher of Palm Bay on charges of possessing multiple images of child pornography.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – An investigation conducted by the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office was culminated on Friday with the arrest of 62-year-old Daniel Hatcher of Palm Bay on charges of possessing multiple images of child pornography.

The investigation started after the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office SORT Unit received a cybertip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children providing information that Hatcher, a Recreation Supervisor with the City of West Melbourne, was using an Internet Service to transmit images of child pornography.

A subsequent investigation by Agents led to the issuance of a search warrant for Hatcher’s residence where Agents recovered multiple electronic devices that upon initial forensic examination contained images and movie files of child pornography.

Pursuant to the execution of the search warrant, the Honorable Judge Kelly Ingram issued an arrest warrant for Hatcher, charging him with five counts of Possession of Child Pornography.

Hatcher is being held at the Brevard County Jail on $175,000 bond.
