Eastern Florida State Basketball Team Ranked No. 1 in NJCAA Region 8 Poll for First Time Since 2016

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Eastern Florida State College men’s basketball team is ranked first in the latest NJCAA Region 8 Coaches Poll released on Monday.
The Titans are 4-0 this season after two big wins in the Florida JUCO Shootout, defeating No. 4 Chipola College on a buzzer-beater in overtime and then defeating the State College of Florida-Manatee in the final second on Saturday.
The No. 1 ranking is the first for the Titans since Week 10 of the 2016-17 season and the seventh time that an Eastern Florida State College team has been ranked No. 1 in the poll.
Eastern Florida State College will travel to Fort Myers to play a couple of unbeaten teams this weekend, facing Spartanburg Methodist Friday at 5:30 p.m. and then Snow College at noon on Saturday. Both games are at Florida Southwestern.
