BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – A trio of Eastern Florida State College women’s soccer players were named to the United Soccer Coaches Junior College All-America team.
Defenders Jessica DeBiasse and Kirsty Woodacre along with midfielder Laura Cetina were named to the team and will be recognized at the All-America Ceremony and Reception on Jan. 22, 2022, during the United Soccer Coaches Convention.
Woodacre, a freshman from London, England, started the final six games and was a big part of a dominating defense that won a national championship.
Woodacre was named the defensive Most Valuable Player of the tournament for her play at holding midfield.
DeBiasse, a sophomore from Melbourne, has started all 15 games for a Titans defense that allowed just two goals in the final 10 games to help them win the title.
DeBiasse plays on the outside and also breaks up the field to get the offense started as well as being one of the best defenders in the nation.
Cetina, a freshman from Galicia, Spain, led the Titans with seven goals this season including two huge goals during the national tournament.
Cetina was named the offensive Most Valuable Player of the tournament.
Eastern Florida State College finished No. 1 in the United Soccer Coaches NJCAA Division I rankings. The Titans won their first NJCAA Division I National Title last week at Daytona State College.
