Semi Truck Collision on I-95 Causes 150 Gallons of Diesel Fuel to Spill in Brevard County

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Florida Highway Patrol and local firefighters responded to the scene of a scary crash Thursday morning involving two semi trucks that spilled 150 gallons of diesel fuel on southbound I-95 in Malabar at mile marker at 169.

The crash happened around 6 a.m.

As a result of the crash, one of the semi-trucks caught fire.

One of the drivers was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

The southbound lanes were closed at the crash site for cleanup.

Southbound I-95 was being diverted off at exit 173 on Malabar Road as traffic was backed up for miles while rescue crews cleaned up the scene.

The lanes are now open.
