Semi Truck Strikes Pole on I-95 in Melbourne Causes Significant Fuel Spill, Driver Hospitalized

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Brevard County Fire Rescue crews responded to a crash on I-95 in Melbourne involving a tractor trailer striking a pole early Friday morning that caused a significant spill of fuel, according to BCFR officials.

The driver was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The news comes on the heels of another significant fuel spill Thursday morning that involved two semi trucks colliding near mile marker 169 and caused over 150 gallons of diesel fuel to spill on I-95 and became engulfed in flames.
