BREVARD COUNTY • VIERA, FLORIDA – This year’s 9th Annual Light Up Viera Holiday Parade, presented by the Viera Community Institute, will bring All Things Merry and Bright to spectators on Saturday, November 27.
Mindy Levy, iHeartRadio announcer of 99.3 FM, will return as the parade’s main emcee along with her co-announcer, Wingnut, from 95.1 FM. The annual pre-parade fireworks display, scheduled at 6 p.m., will kick-off the holiday parade.
“We’re excited to have new sponsors join us in the parade this year, you’ll see new floats and entertainment in the line-up, as well as returning favorites,” said Laurie Widzgowski, Marketing and Events Coordinator for The Viera Company.
“We look forward to having all elements of the parade back this year to start the holiday season.”
Spectators can look forward to decorated floats that will navigate their way through the parade route, walking units from our local sports teams and dance groups, as well as professional entertainers to brighten and amuse attendees with their unique acrobats, synchronized routines, swirling lights, and other surprises.

Five marching bands are returning this year representing Viera High School, Rockledge High School, Satellite High School, Astronaut High School and Merritt Island High School.
The Viera Company, parade sponsor and master-plan developer for the community of Viera will provide a generous donation to each high school that participates in the parade, with funds going toward their music programs.
Among the food trucks, located adjacent to Calvary Chapel, will be Cosmos Ice Cream trucks serving the official Light Up Viera Holiday Parade flavor called Lunar Light Up Surprise, Espresso Yourself Mobile Coffee, and Hungry Hippies.
