Two Dead After Vehicle Strikes Tree Off I-95 Near Pineda Causeway and Wickham Road, One Injured

Florida Highway Patrol are investigating a fatal crash that killed two passengers and seriously injured the driver during the overnight hours in Melbourne off I-95 between Pineda Causeway and Wickham Road at mile marker 187.

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Florida Highway Patrol are investigating a fatal crash that killed two passengers and seriously injured the driver during the overnight hours in Melbourne off I-95 between Pineda Causeway and Wickham Road at mile marker 187.

The preliminary investigation reveals a 2020 Dodge Charger was traveling at a high rate of speed when the driver lost control of the vehicle and struck a tree.

Both passengers were pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver sustained serious injuries and was transported to Holmes Regional.

The driver and one of the passengers have been identified as 23-year-olds from Orlando. The third passenger has not yet been identified by FHP.
