Firefighters Extinguish Two-Story Residential Fire in Merritt Island

BREVARD COUNTY • MERRITT ISLAND, FLORIDA – Brevard County Fire Rescue crews responded to a two-story residential fire early Sunday morning on the 1500 block of Pine Island Road in Merritt Island.

Officials say the two occupants inside the house made it out of the residence without injuries.

However, the residence sustained heavy damage as a result of the fire, according to a spokesperson with BCFR.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
