Melbourne Police arrested 31-year-old Alvin C. Campbell on Saturday that resulted in the recovery of a stolen firearm out of Alachua County, along with cocaine, methamphetamines, fentanyl, cannabis, and other prescription drugs.

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Police arrested a 31-year-old Melbourne man on Saturday that resulted in the recovery of a stolen firearm out of Alachua County, along with cocaine, methamphetamines, fentanyl, cannabis, and other prescription drugs.

The suspect is identified as Alvin C. Campbell.

Police say they were close patrols in the area of the U-Mart when they stopped a vehicle driven by Campbell.

When stopped, Campbell immediately fled from the vehicle but officers swiftly apprehended him following a foot pursuit inside Shull Manor
Apartments.

Campbell was arrested and charged with drug possession, firearm possession offenses, resisting officers without violence, and felony driving while license suspended.
