Palm Bay Fire Rescue Hosts Advancement Ceremony, New Deputy Chief Kevin Martin Sworn In

BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – Palm Bay Fire Rescue held a promotional ceremony to recognize the advancement of several members to new positions after months of studying and testing.
During the ceremony, PBFR swore in new Deputy Chief Kevin Martin and promoted several others.
Palm Bay Fire Rescue promoted Driver Engineer Steven Wesley, Lieutenants Nick Swoboda, Jacob Couture, and District Chiefs Nathan Thomas and Eric Eschmann.

The Palm Bay Fire Department provides a variety of services to protect the lives and property of the community.
A number of their employees serve as instructors at local schools (Eastern Florida State College, to name one), and are active in the Community through the IAFF Union Local 2446 as well as through their individual churches, schools, etc.
Palm Bay Fire Rescue employees actively seek continuing education in order to provide top-notch customer service to the citizens and visitors of Palm Bay.
The Chief’s Office receives many compliments from the public regarding employees who have stopped to change tires, stopped at vehicle crashes while off duty to provide care and concern, and given safety presentations to local organizations on their own time.
Many children have been positively influenced by our fire personnel and have decided to go into firefighting as a career.
