Three Juveniles Arrested in Melbourne After Multiple Burglaries Reported in the Area

Juveniles are residents of Melbourne

The Melbourne Police Department responded to the area of Rachel Street, in reference to multiple juveniles pulling on car door handles in attempts to take items from inside vehicles.

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Melbourne Police Department responded to the area of Rachel Street, in reference to multiple juveniles pulling on car door handles in attempts to take items from inside vehicles.

When police officers and a Melbourne Police Department sergeant arrived on the scene, they observed four juveniles that matched the description provided by “911” callers.

A police sergeant who arrived at the scene announced himself as with the Melbourne Police Department and all juveniles fled the area.

Prior to fleeing the scene, one of the juveniles struck the police sergeant with an elbow strike in an attempt to flee the scene.

Officers then established a perimeter and located three out of the four juveniles that were involved in the incident.

The investigation determined that multiple burglaries had occurred in the area.

The juveniles took numerous items such as money, food, wallets and etc. The juveniles were placed under arrest for eight burglaries in the area.

All three juveniles are local residents of Melbourne.
