WATCH: Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ive recognized team members who worked in various capacities throughout Christmas Day to help keep us safe.
BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Earlier today I had the chance along with Junny and Chief DeMorat to spend time with some of our BCSO team members who worked in various capacities throughout Christmas Day to help keep us safe.
I could not be more proud of these brave and dedicated men and women who were on patrol this morning responding to calls, working in corrections, and serving as a lifeline to our citizens as Communication Officers, so that our citizens could spend time with their families on Christmas Day in a safe community.
Not only were our team members out there getting it done today, but so were our brothers and sisters from other law enforcement agencies, our partners at fire rescue, and our health care providers at all of the hospitals who truly serve as heroes in our community.
And of course, at home and abroad, our military heroes worked this morning keeping our great nation safe, as we all celebrated Christmas with our family and friends.
Please join me in thanking each and every one of them for their service, their sacrifice, and their courage as we are all blessed to have them standing as our protectors.
