Florida Forest Service is on scene of a new fire named “Columbia Fire” previously reported as “Whispering Fire” at Barna Ave. and Columbia Blvd. in Titusville.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Florida Forest Service is on scene of a new fire named “Columbia Fire” previously reported as “Whispering Fire” at Barna Ave. and Columbia Blvd. in Titusville.

The fire is two-acres at this time.

Authorities ask motorists to avoid the area if possible and find an alternate route as crews work to extinguish the blaze.

The fire is not a controlled burn, local officials say.
