Man Shot Dead in Mims Incident Identified as 30-Year-Old Ashton Geiger

The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office has identified the man who was the victim of a shooting incident Saturday afternoon, January 15, in Mims.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office has identified the man who was the victim of a shooting incident Saturday afternoon, January 15, in Mims.

The man has been identified is 30-year-old Ashton Geiger of Mims.

The investigation began when deputies responded to the area of Gray Lane shortly before 3 p.m. after a 911 call was received advising a person had been shot.

Upon arrival, deputies located Geiger who was pronounced dead at the scene. Deputies later learned that a second male subject had been taken from the scene to a local hospital suffering from a gunshot wound.

The identity of the second male is not being released at this time.

The investigation is ongoing as agents continue to conduct interviews and examine evidence from the scene.

Based on the information obtained thus far, it appears that this was an isolated incident and no arrests have been made at this time.
