BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Melbourne Orlando International Airport (MLB) Operations Supervisor John Warrington received the Executive Director’s Recognition of Excellence Award during Tuesday’s airport board meeting.

In addition to being described as a motivator and remarkably hard worker by Executive Director Greg Donovan, he was applauded for joining his terminal maintenance and custodial staff on Christmas Day, where he would normally be off, to personally provide and serve his team with a special Christmas dinner.

“John, Team MLB congratulates you on this well-deserved recognition,” said Donovan.

Melbourne Orlando International Airport is an award-winning airport, crowned #1 Most Scenic Airport in North America by PrivateFly.com, and serves as the Coastal Gateway to Central Florida.

In addition to evolving air service from Delta Air Lines and American Airlines, Allegiant has new routes to Pittsburgh, Nashville and Concord, N.C. that began last November, and MLB will become TUI UK’s Florida gateway beginning in 2022.

Air service growth has sparked a major terminal project that will provide an ultimate travel experience for all airport customers. MLB is globally recognized as an epicenter of aerospace as the home to Northrop Grumman, L3Harris, Embraer, Collins Aerospace, and more.
