NWS: Strong Cold Front to Hit Brevard Sunday, Will Bring Heavy Rain, Lightning and High Winds

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA [NWS] – The National Weather Service has predicted for Sunday showers and possibly a thunderstorm before 2 p.m., then a chance of showers with a high near 72.
Conditions will be windy, with a south wind 20 to 25 mph, becoming west southwest in the afternoon, with gust as high as 35 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
■ Sunday Night: A 20 percent chance of showers before 8pm. Partly cloudy, with a low around 47. West southwest wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
■ M.L.King Day: Sunny, with a high near 64. West wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.
■ Monday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 42. West wind 10 to 15 mph.
■ Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 64. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph.
■ Tuesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 46. North northwest wind around 5 mph.
■ Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 71. North northwest wind around 5 mph becoming east northeast in the afternoon.
■ Wednesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 54. East wind around 5 mph becoming west after midnight.
■ Thursday: A 20 percent chance of showers. Mostly sunny, with a high near 76. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming southeast in the afternoon.
