Barbara worked for Bell Telephone as a personnel clerk for nearly 40 years

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE BEACH, FLORIDA – Barbara Cosgrove Terry of Melbourne Beach passed away peacefully on December 24, 2021, due to heart complications.
Barbara was born February 1, 1939, in Bridgeport Connecticut, and is survived by her loving husband, 90-year-old Korean war veteran, Charles (“Chuck”)Terry, her sister Linda Meola, daughter, Lisa Ferreone of New Milford CT, and Chuck’s daughter, Sharon Pollock, her two daughters, and one granddaughter.
Barbara and Chuck got married 33 years ago in Milford Connecticut and moved to Melbourne Beach in 1996. While in Connecticut, Barbara worked for Bell Telephone as a personnel clerk for nearly 40 years.
After moving to Melbourne Beach, she became active as a volunteer for the Wickham Park Civic Center. She was a regular helper and ticket seller at their frequent Bingo festivities. She loved doing this for over 20 years.
A memorial Mass and celebration of life will be held at Ascension Catholic Church at 11:30 a.m. on January 26, followed by an interment of her ashes at the Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Cape Canaveral at 2 p.m..
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made in Barbara’s name to VITAS Healthcare, Rockledge Florida 32955.
