Carol Lorraine Lindaas Morris 93, died Monday, January 10, 2022, at her daughter’s home in Melbourne, Florida where she had resided for the past six years. She had 28 grandchildren, more than 70 great-grandchildren and 29 great-great-grandchildren.

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Carol Lorraine Lindaas Morris 93, died Monday, January 10, 2022, at her daughter’s home in Melbourne, Florida where she had resided for the past six years.

Born Sept 21, 1928, in Esmond, Illinois to Dorathy A. and Stanley C. Lindaas, she was the eldest of their 8 children. She married Richard W Morris in 1947, they had 8 children and lived in Illinois until 1993 when they retired to Tennessee.

Lorraine was an excellent seamstress and was well known for her crafting skills until arthritis halted her knitting and crocheting, she provided handmade sweater sets to every baby in the family and countless other sets for family and friends.

In addition to caring for her family, Lorraine was very involved in her church, and her children’s school, she also had time to run a licensed daycare in her home. As her children aged, she enjoyed working outside the home, especially enjoying all her years at McDonald’s both in Illinois and coming out of retirement to work there in Tennessee.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Irving and Roger Lindaas, sister Lila Bernice who died in infancy, husband Richard, daughter Donna Frye, son Ted Morris, and grandson Kevin Anderson.

She is survived by brothers Kenneth Dewayne Lindaas (Bev) of Illinois and Carl Lindaas (Kaye) of Illinois, sisters Ruth Eike (Bob) of Illinois and Judy Lipp (Hank) of Wisconsin, sister-in-law Ruby Lindaas, daughters Carol Reando (Stephen) of Florida, Shirley Anderson (Gene) of Illinois, Nancy Robertsen (Terry) of Tennessee, Susie Embry (James) of Illinois, and Mary McMahon (Charlie) of Indiana, son Gene Morris (Tonia) of Illinois, son-in-law Jay Frye of Tennessee, daughter-in-law Betsy Morris of Ohio, 28 grandchildren, 70+ great-grandchildren, 29 great-great-grandchildren, and counting.

She was a good daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, aunt, sister-in-law, and friend, and will be missed by all. Love you ‘mean and old’.

Services were held on January 15, 2022, at Milburnton Methodist Church, Limestone, TN. She was buried beside her loving husband in Milburnton United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers were grandsons Jeremy Robertsen, Jay Dee Frye Jr, Justin McMahon, Joshua Frye, Eddie Armentraut, and James Algozine. Arrangements were by Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home, Greeneville.
