BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – Michael Mazzo passed away peacefully in his home on Wednesday, December 28 in Cocoa, Florida at the age of 49.

Mike is survived by his step-father Colin Armour, his wife Elizabeth Mazzo, his three sons Austin, Eugene, and Kevin Mazzo, and grandson Levi Mazzo. Mike is preceded in death by his mother Rita Armour.

Mike was born on February 19, 1972, to Ms. Rita Armour in Hartford, Connecticut. He married Elizabeth in May of 1998. After moving to Cocoa, Mike began working for Central Sand as a dredge operator.

The couple welcomed three sons into their home and Mike set about teaching them the importance of family values and a strong work ethic. His children remember him as a hard-working father who encouraged them to pursue their goals.

Mike was a talented cook and often hosted Sunday dinners and holidays in his home. He was a witty individual who loved being outdoors and working with his hands and who was passionate about spending quality time with his family. He enjoyed partaking in Sunday services at New Life Church in Titusville, Florida.

A funeral is scheduled for January 7 at Baldwin Brothers Funeral Home with a small service extending from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Pastor Jerry Hanson will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Mike’s life. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to The Cancer Research Institute.
