BREVARD COUNTY • CAPE CANAVERAL, FLORIDA – SpaceX is scheduled to launch a Falcon 9 rocket from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station on Friday, January 28.
The launch is targeted for 6:11 p.m. ET.
Weather conditions are 70-percent favorable for Friday’s rocket launch with the primary concern being the Cumulus Cloud Rule and heavy cloud cover near launch.
The rocket will carry the second COSMO-SkyMed Second Generation, or CSG 2, radar surveillance satellite for ASI, the Italian space agency.
Following first-stage separation, SpaceX will attempt to recover the booster engine on a drone ship stationed in the Atlantic Ocean.
