Bayside High Grad Marcus Fremont Wins Emmy Award as ESPN SportsCenter Producer and Editor

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Bayside High School’s TV Productions Program announced that Bayside graduate Marcus Fremont has won a prestigious Emmy Award.

The Emmy Awards, or Emmys, are awarded for artistic and technical merit in the television industry.

Fremont, who graduated from Bayside High School in 2012, has won an Emmy for producing and editing content for ESPN’s SportsCenter.

SportsCenter is a daily sports news television program that serves as the flagship program and brand of the cable and satellite television network broadcast from ESPN’s studio facilities in Bristol, Connecticut and Los Angeles, California.

Fremont was a four-year student of the TV Productions Program under the direction of Lora Potter and graduated from Full Sail University in 2014 with a degree in Film.  He started his career editing for Channel 9 in Orlando.

He continues to work for ESPN’s SportsCenter and his editing talents are showcased on NFL Countdown, NBA Courtside, Sports Center and ESPN’s social media platforms.

Space Coast Daily TV will be at Bayside High School on April 13 to highlight the school’s outstanding television production program as part of the ongoing BPS Trades Tour hosted by Superintendent Mark Mullins and Board Member Matt Susin.
