Brevard County Sheriff’s Office to Hold Citizens Academy On Tuesday Evenings March 1 Through April 5

The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Citizens Academy is a six-week program designed to give our citizens an inside look at the various aspects of the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Ever wanted to take a behind the scenes look at the many aspects of law enforcement and the operations of the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office? 

The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Citizens Academy, which will run on Tuesday evenings March 1 to April 5, is a six-week, six-session, program designed to give our citizens an inside look at the various aspects of the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office.

Now is your chance to attend the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Citizens Academy that gives our citizens insight to the various units, functions, and programs of our agency as well as an up close and personal look at what our team faces every day as they work to keep our community safe.

Be sure to get registered early as there are limited spaces available and it will fill up quickly.

The Citizens Academy is open to all residents of Brevard County who are at least 18 years old. We hope the experience will be informative, fun, and exciting!

This is a chance for our citizens to get a behind-the-scenes look at what the 1,500 proud men and women of the Sheriff’s Office do on a daily basis.

Participants will experience an orientation similar to that of newly hired deputies, during which they will receive classroom-style instruction from BCSO trainers.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to tour many of our BCSO facilities including our jail complex, crime scene lab, aviation hangar, and many more. Additionally, you will be given an opportunity to ride along with a Deputy for a few hours of a shift.
