BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – Members of the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office arrested 26-year-old Kendall Britt for the murder of Anthony Greenwood that occurred in Unincorporated Cocoa on Friday.

The investigation began on January 18, 2022, after Deputies responded to a residence on Uranus Drive at approximately 9:18 a.m., in response to an emergency 911 call.

The caller reported that a person had been shot inside the residence and upon arrival, Deputies subsequently located Greenwood who was pronounced deceased at the scene.

As a result of the investigation, evidence collected at the scene, and statements of pertinent witnesses, Agents determined that the shooting occurred as retaliation for a prior incident where Greenwood battered an associate of Britt.

Agents presented their findings to the Honorable Judge Jennifer Taylor who signed an arrest warrant for Britt for First Degree Premeditated Murder.

The warrant was served on Britt on Friday, February 25, who was already incarcerated at the Brevard County Jail on an unrelated occupied burglary case. Britt is currently being held in the Brevard County Jail on a “No Bond” status.

Another great job by our Deputies, Agents, and Crime Scene Unit, and another violent criminal locked behind bars where he can’t victimize anyone else.
