Eastern Florida Women’s Basketball Moves Up to No. 16 in Latest NJCAA Division I Poll

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Eastern Florida State College women’s basketball team moves up another spot to No. 16 in the latest NJCAA Division I poll released on Monday.

The women’s basketball team heads into Wednesday’s matchup 22-3 overall and 9-0 in the Central Conference. The 16th ranking is the highest in program history and the Titans have now been ranked for eight straight weeks.

Eastern Florida State College will host Santa Fe College on Wednesday night at 5:30 p.m. in a conference matchup.

The game will be broadcast live on WEFS-TV which is channel 9 or 455 on Spectrum, 68 on DirecTV, 30 on Dish, and 68 on AT&T Uverse. Admission is free to games at Titan Field House on the Melbourne campus.

After the men’s game which begins at 7:30 p.m. the women’s team will celebrate their conference title by cutting down the nets.

The women’s team is fourth in the NJCAA Region VIII Coaches Poll which also came out on Monday. They have punched their ticket to the FCSAA/Region VIII Women’s Basketball Championships which begin March 3 in Niceville.

Admission to games at Titan Field House on the Melbourne campus is free.
