Firefighters Extinguish Blaze on Mobile Home Fire in Sharpes, Dog Perishes From Fire

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Brevard County Fire Rescue units, along with the assistance of the Cocoa Fire Department, responded to the scene of a residential mobile home fire Wednesday afternoon in the area of Kipling Drive and Phyllis Way in Sharpes.

No people were inside the home at the time of the fire. However, one dog was pulled from the structure.

Firefighters gave a valiantly effort to revive the dog but it came too late. Unfortunately, the dog did not survive.

Officials say the fire significantly damaged the home.

Fire investigators are working to determine the cause of the fire.
