Firefighters Extinguish House Fire on Cook Ave. in Grant-Valkaria, Pet Ferret Rescued

BREVARD COUNTY • GRANT, FLORIDA – Brevard County Fire Rescue and the Palm Bay Fire Department responded to a residential fire Sunday afternoon on the 4000 block of Cook Avenue in Grant-Valkaria.

According to officials, the first unit on scene was met with a working fire and was quickly extinguished when firefighters.

A pet ferret was rescued and given oxygen via a pet mask.

No injuries were reported.
