BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Florida Tech Panthers baseball team extended their win streak to five straight after defeating Bentley 17-7 on Saturday.

The Panthers sprinted out of reach of the Falcons immediately by plating five runs in the bottom of the first inning, capped by Sam Schner’s two-run double to center.

Florida Tech scored in seven of their eight turns at-bat. Eight of nine Panther starters recorded a hit, six of which were multi-hit efforts.
Paul Castillo, Dylan Dohanos, and Brett Parrish each had four-hit games.

Five Florida Tech batters drove in multiple runs with Sam Schner tops amongst the bunch with four.

Schner has a seven-game hitting streak dating back to the end of the 2021 season. He also stole two bases in the afternoon.

Parrish has now driven in a run in five consecutive games, four of which have seen him drive in at least two.

Mitch Harding earned his first win of the season by throwing five innings, striking out three over that time.

The quartet of Andrew Dunham, Danny Vassallo, Samuel Orozco and Liam Progulske combined to surrender one run on three hits over the game’s final four innings.

UP NEXT: The Panthers and Falcons conclude their three-game series on Sunday beginning at 12:00 PM at Seminick-Hall Field.
